Glossary
An import file is the inbound operational record for a shipment: commercial documents, customs papers, landed cost, approvals, and the people who must act, kept on one file until the goods are received.
Packing list, commercial invoice, transport documents, and the duty picture belong on the same record as the consignment. Customer Flow’s public walkthrough is How an import file moves.
The file is not “the email thread about the container.” It is the record finance, operations, and the broker can open without asking who has the latest PDF.
