For general managers and operations leads
This page is for the person who will be asked whether the company should run the next import, export, grant, or campus payment in Customer Flow instead of in chat threads and spreadsheets. It is not a feature list. It is the decision briefing.
Step 1
Customer Flow is cloud ERP for the operational file. One workspace holds the work, the papers, the people, and the trail. The product’s job is to make the next required step obvious: who must attach a document, who must approve, what the file costs, and what was changed.
Country-specific filings — Pakistan, the UAE, and other lanes — sit in replaceable rules packs. You do not rebuild the company workspace when a corridor changes. Day-to-day work stays on the file: consignments, documents, duty, inventory, procurement, and audit.
You are not buying a directory listing, a chat bot, or a promise that Google will rank a keyword. You are buying a place where a live file can be defended in an audit and handed to the next shift.
Step 2
A new company opens a workspace and completes foundation steps before the first live consignment. That is deliberate. An empty file that looks “live” is worse than a delayed first file.
The manager’s checklist is short: company profile, banks and currencies, chart of accounts where finance needs it, locations, trade partners, tariff codes, document templates, approval rules, and the people who will touch the file. Permissions decide who can read, write, verify, and see the audit log.
Invite colleagues from Users & Roles. The person who registers is the first user of that organization. Invited staff join the same company; they do not open a second tenant unless you intend that.
Step 3
An import or export is one file. Commercial terms, packing lists, invoices, and customs documents stay attached to that file. Landed cost is calculated on the same record as the shipment, not in a side spreadsheet that nobody can find six months later.
Approvals are built in. A manager should expect a request, a decision, and a record — not a WhatsApp screenshot. The audit trail is the history of the file, not a separate product you switch on later.
The same model applies outside trade: a grant, a campus payment, a production order, or a listing file still needs papers, people, and a trail. Industry pages on this site describe those files in public language. The workspace is where the team actually runs them.
Step 4
Roles and permissions are the first control. Nothing in the file is “everyone can do everything” unless you set it that way. Treat that as a management choice, not a default.
The audit log is the second control. If a number or a document changed, you should be able to say who did it and when. That is what auditors and banks ask for. Customer Flow keeps that trail on the file.
Country rules are the third control. Do not hard-code a corridor into tribal knowledge. If Pakistan or UAE filings change, the rules pack is the layer that should change — not the way your team names a shipment.
Step 5
A one-month free trial is available at thecustomerflow.com/register. No credit card. After the trial, commercial terms are a conversation with the team — this page does not publish a fake price table.
This briefing does not name customer companies, star ratings, or software-directory URLs that are not live. If another site needs a short paragraph, use the press kit boilerplate and link here or to How to cite Customer Flow.
If you want the walkthrough a new operator follows, use How Customer Flow works and the import/export file pages. If you want definitions other sites can link, use the glossary.
General managers, operations leads, and finance heads who will sponsor the workspace and own approvals and audit — not only the person who will click Register.
No. It keeps the operational file — papers, cost, inventory, and trail — in one workspace so finance is not reconstructing the file from email.
Yes. Inbound and outbound files use the same company profile, partners, and audit trail. Commercial documents stay on the file they belong to.
Country rules are a replaceable pack. The operational file — what to do next — stays the same. You do not rebuild the product to add a corridor.
Yes. One month, no credit card, at thecustomerflow.com/register. Sign in if you already have a workspace.
